Programming the Digital Remote
Programming the Digital Remote
Before your Digital Remote can be used to operate your TV, VCR and other devices,
it must be programmed with the correct models. The instructions, along with the codes for
your models, will allow you to program your Digital Remote to control your TV and VCR. If your model
has more than one code listed, it may be necessary to try a few codes before your Digital Remote
properly controls your TV, VCR and other devices.
To program the Digital Remote for your TV model
- Locate the TV's setup code in TV Model Setup Codes for the Digital Remote.
- Turn your TV on.
- On the Digital Remote, press and hold the TV button for at least 6 seconds. Wait for the programming mode to start. The light for each mode key (the four buttons across the top, just below the Motorola logo) will turn on and off in sequence, starting with AUX and continuing through TV. The sequence will repeat twice. Release the TV button. Wait until the TV button stays lit.
- Enter the 4 digit code for your TV. If this is a valid code, the TV light will blink 3 times. If you enter an invalid code, the TV light will turn off. In that case, you will need to repeat step 3 using another code.
- Aim the Digital Remote at your TV and press POWER once. The TV should turn off. If it doesnt turn off, repeat steps 3-4, trying each code listed for your TV until you find the one that operates it. If your TV still doesnt work with the Digital Remote, try searching for the proper code (See "Searching For The Code" below). Write down your TV code for future reference.

Scanning for and displaying the correct code
If the correct code for your TV, VCR or other device is not listed in the

find a working code by scanning through the Digital Remote code library. This allows you to try
